Andrew ‘Ollie’ Oliver and the machine by the Old Cattle Market
AN APPEAL set up in memory of a Helston taxi driver has now raised enough cash to pay for five defibrillators in the town – with a sixth to follow soon.
Kathryn Hines and her family set up the appeal after the sudden death last year of her partner Andrew Oliver, also known as Ollie.
The Andrew Oliver Big Heart Fund raises cash for the life-saving machines in 24-hour access cabinets.
“I’d like to thank everyone for their continued support,” said Ms Hines. “I’ve never done anything like this before and I’ve been amazed at the response. I have been overwhelmed by the donations and support shown by individuals and organisations around Helston.
